Sales Associate:

We are seeking a creative, self-motivated, team-player whose areas of interest include vintage clothing and fashion. An open and enthusiastic attitude is essential for our diverse customer base. We value each team member’s individuality and want to expand their strengths in ways that support our growing business and the individual! Room to advance within the company is available (and encouraged) if desired!
While not required, experience with era-identification (dating clothing from the 1990’s and earlier), and experience re-selling on Etsy, depop, Ebay, etc…is highly valued in addition to familiarity with content creation (especially fashion-related) and eCommerce photography.  Sewing experience also appreciated!

This position is part-time (15-23 hours/2-3 days per week)

Job Duties: daily store maintenance/cleaning, welcoming and assisting customers, cash handling, stocking/tagging merchandise, sorting vintage (warehouse only),  laundering and repairing lightly damaged garments, styling and creating content/maintaining an exciting online presence, adding premium pieces to our eCommerce pages, and MORE!

Minimum Requirements:
• 18 years of age
• 1 year of retail experience (For management positions we ask for +1 year of previous retail management experience)
• Able to work a full seven-eight hour day-time shift on week days and weekends
• Reliable transportation
• Phone for daily social media posting, scheduling, and team updates

Sold by weight at $3.00 per pound, clothing is organized on racks with off season goods available in large organized bins for more of a “treasure hunting” vibe.

The selection of apparel at South Grand has been selectively curated to mirror the funky, modern, youthful neighborhood of Tower Grove. Best known for our premium selection of LEVIS, true vintage, funky jackets, this is location has unique pieces priced competitively, per garment.

The new Delmar Boutique features a clean and organized collection of true & trending vintage & streetwear alike. Inline with pricing/aesthetic of our South Grand boutique.

All sales are final; no returns, exchanges, or exceptions.

When you donate to your choice of charitable or non-profit or charity organization is always a great way to give back and recycle. However, the travels of your clothing may surprise you! Believe it or not, non-profits only  sell about 10-20% or what's donated. "Credential' is what we in the industry call your donated clothing prior to hitting the floor. (When it's is still inside the green or yellow donation bin!)  You can purchase credential, but it's always a gamble. Could be designer shoes....could be cat hair covered blanket. Because of the continuous inbound of inventory, most traditional non-profit thrift shops have a 4 week cycle on each garment. After it's "lifespan" is complete, the clothing becomes known as "institutionalized" - in other words: what didn't sell at the donation center. This clothing - being the other 80-90% - is sold to textile companies across the world who sort according to material and worth. Here is where our part comes in: If you’ve visited our North County location, you’re not only familiar with the massive textile recycling operation, Mednik Riverbend, that takes place on the opposite end of the building, but you’ve probably viewed the “behind the scenes” of how our 100lb – 1000lb bales of clothing are sorted for each store! You've seen us crack open Carharrt, Bomber/Stadium Jackets, Vintage Tees, Denim Jackets, Furs, and Hawaiian shirts - just to name a few.  The bales we purchase are custom pre-sorted by categories  according to our requests, but it's always a blind buy! Having two stores, both vastly different from the next helps us maximize the potential of each bale!

All ten cities stamped on our clothing represent the 10 major cities our clothing is collected from! See the western influence? A majority of our sourcing comes from the Texas border.
